We couldn’t do it without you!
Volunteers with a passion for mentoring youth are the backbone of the Power of Hope experience. They offer not only workshops, but also give us valuable support in many other areas of our mission. We work with both professional artists and non-professional artists from diverse backgrounds and skill areas, for the purpose to give youth a chance to flourish within a supportive, arts-based community. If you have an interest in exploring your creativity and/or sharing your expertise in a particular art fom, we would love to have you.
In exchange, working with us is a powerful way to expand your skills and get experiential training in using arts with communities. You will eat fabulous food, spend time in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and meet an incredible community of people. Because of the high ratio of staff to youth (1:2), our volunteers are well-supported and have time to take workshops, swim, and partake of all that camp has to offer. We’re proud of the fact that our volunteers leave camp as inspired and happy as the youth!
Volunteer roles: Youth Mentor-Camp Counsellor / Arts Educator / Nature Educator / Lifeguard / General Kitchen Help
There’s lots more to do as well. In addition to our summer camp volunteer openings, we often have volunteer opportunities during the school year.
